We’ve got a pretty sardonic sense of humour here at The Coolector and the painfully funny, Mr Bingo, and his brilliant Hate Mail series of postcards is something that we’ve encountered before but we were more than a little thrilled when we discovered the talented fellow his decanted his talents to Kickstarter to create a hardback version of his comical scrawlings called Hate Mail: The Definitive Collection.
Since its inception in 2011, Mr Bingo has delivered nearly 1000 abusive post cards which are skilfully emblazoned with a comical illustration coupled with an equally hilarious insult such as the example outlined above. The Hate Mail: Definitive Collection Book will house 156 of the artist’s favourite abusive postcards and the book itself is clothbound, foil stamped and comprised of the finest German book paper so it will look the part for sure.
Boasting quite possibly the most humorous Kickstarter page to date and having already smashed the funding target, it would certainly appear that it’s not just us here at Coolector HQ who want to get their hands on a hard copy of Mr Bingo’s illustrative prowess. Check out a few of the best below:
Whilst Mr Bingo isn’t likely to win a Pulitzer Prize for his definitive collection of postcards, he’s going to make a hell of a lot of people laugh as he has been doing for years now and it’s no surprise to us that the funding target is already in the rear view mirror.
The perfect coffee table book when you require some light relief, Hate Mail: The Definitive Collection is definitely going to be on our reading list this summer here at Coolector HQ and we can’t wait to see what’s next for Mr Bingo.
