Hotel Parister, Paris

Located in one of the coolest parts of Paris and luxurious and welcoming, we can't think of many better places to spend a night in Paris than the Parister Hotel.

It seems fitting that we’d be doing a review of a Paris hotel on Valentine’s Day because it is the city of love after all but we couldn’t have predicted how deeply we’d fall for the amazing Parister Hotel, located in one of France’s capital city’s trendiest areas and within a stone’s throw of the foot of Montmartre.

We’ve certainly got a “type” when it comes to the sorts of hotels that we gravitate towards at The Coolector and the Parister Hotel could seldom be more fitting for what we look for when it comes to a relaxing break in a city centre locale.

Brilliantly boutique and positively overflowing with eye-catching interior design features, the minute you stumble across its unassuming entrance situated mid-way down a quiet looking street, you won’t ever want to leave.

The Parister Hotel is the brainchild of Nicolas Nonon who had the desire to create a hybrid, dynamic and welcoming place in the heart of Paris, aimed at the sort of traveller who enjoy taking care of themselves without being bothered throughout their stay. We have to say that this was very much in evident during our stay at Parister and the welcome that we received upon check in was utterly exemplary and a real testament to the quality of staff that you’ll find throughout this luxury boutique hotel.

Parisian Perfection

For our stay at the Parister, we were treated to a Junior Suite room and the luxurious nature of it was immediately apparent the minute we entered it, through a lengthy entrance hallway. Reliably informed by the incredibly friendly reception staff, the Parister wants to be a real home away from home and this extends to the key to the door which is a pleasing weighty number replete with metal keychain that does away with the soulless modern key cards that are so evident in hotels today. A small touch but one that we were delighted with at The Coolector.

Every element of the Junior Suite Room was designed with delivering a comfortable stay and though we were only there for one night, we would have gladly have stayed for many more. Just some of the most comfortable features in this first class room type included a ridiculous comfortable king size bed, top quality sofa (which can also be deployed as a sofa bed) and things just keep getting better in the bathroom with a rain shower, a bathtub, a double washbasin, a LED-equipped magnifying mirror, a heated anti-fog mirror and toiletries from Zenology.

Neat little technology touches can be found throughout the Junior Suite at the Parister Hotel and if you love your gadgets, you’ll be in your element. You’ll find 40-inch flat screen interactive smart TV, high speed WiFi and a vintage style Marshall speaker to play all your favourite tunes. The home away from home ethos definitely comes into play again here because you’ll not want to leave the room such is its comfort but, with such an abundance of sights and sounds on the doorstep of the Parister Hotel, it would be rude not to.

Location, Location, Location

Paris is a pleasingly walkable city and the Parister Hotel is right in the heart of the action, close to the steps of Montmartre, a stone’s throw from Gare Du Nord (so easily walkable if you’re coming in via Eurostar) and surrounded by an excellent selection of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops – safe to say, you’ll never be short of things to do during a stay at Parister but we thoroughly recommended scaling the steps of Montmartre for a stunning view across the whole of Paris and some fantastic little cafes and shops at the top.

The Parister Hotel has its own excellent restaurant and cocktail bar so if you’re hungry or want to enjoy a delicious beverage, you don’t even need to leave the confines of your hotel. The cocktails on offer will really catch the eye and are crafted in stylish surroundings from some of the best spirits available. Every element of the interior design of the hotel has been carefully considered and this is particularly evident in the communal areas such as the restaurant and lobby and it positively exudes elegance and refinement.

Relaxation is something that we all seek when heading away on a holiday and you’ll get plenty of opportunities to experience this at the Parister Hotel with its own mesmerising indoor swimming pool and wellness area, situated in the basement of the property and delivering a truly unexpected surprise to all those who venture down there. Genuinely one of the coolest indoor pools we’ve encountered during our travels, this will be the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of enjoying all that Paris has to offer.

To conclude, the Parister Hotel served as a perfect introduction to Paris for new visitors and regulars alike and it has such an exclusive look and feel throughout that really does make it such a welcoming place to spend time. Special mention must go to the incredibly friendly greeting we received at reception and the fact that all the staff went above and beyond throughout our all too brief stay at this exceptional hotel.
