Though the sun hasn’t been seen around these here parts in some time now, we know it’s going to have to put in an appearance at some point this year so we’ve begun the hunt for the next pair of awesome sunglasses and this inevitably leads us to the door of Shwood and their latest, awesome series of sunglasses that goes by the name of the Badlands collection.
Shwood are somewhat of a mainstay on the pages of The Coolector and we invariably write about any new offering or collaboration from this cracking American brand but their latest collection of sunglasses, the Badlands collection, is almost certainly one of our favourites to have emerged from Portland based pedlar of spiffing sunglasses.
Created due to Shwood’s mastering a new process of stabilization of natural materials, the Badlands collection of sunglasses are both extremely striking yet understated at the same time. These excellent looking sunglasses use high-pressure resin casting and their hand-made processing skills and they’ve taken desert flowers and feathers from the Badlands region, and transformed them into one-of-a-kind wearable art.
