Skuta Mountain Shelter

Though we’re not exactly mountaineers here at Coolector HQ, we are lovers of great design so we’ve unquestionably been bowled over by the Skuta Mountain Shelter by OFIS Architects which, as you can see, looks like a super cool retreat for weary mountaineers who want to kick back in style.

The Skuta Mountain Shelter is situated atop the mountain of the same name in Slovenia and the architects behind its construction see it as the perfect solution to dealing with the rigours of high altitude and it provides ample space for up to eight climbers.

Crafted from fibreglass reinforced concrete for the durable finish required, the Skuta Mountain Shelter boasts an understated wood finish on the inside for what is one mightily cool mountain retreat – check out a few more shots below:

A truly fantastic piece of design which could, theoretically, be deployed in all manner of mountainous terrains, it’s hard not to be impressed with the Skuta Mountain Shelter. Aesthetically superior and supremely striking with its design principles, it’s definitely left us impressed here at The Coolector and we dare say any weary mountaineer who encounters it will see it the same way.
