Scrubba Wash Bag

How far would you go to wash your clothes? I once, 6 weeks into university, travelled 200 miles to have my mum wash my clothes – interpret as a trip to the local 7-Eleven for your American, but an act of emigration for a Brit. This, my bold deed of laundry lunacy brings us nicely on to an ingenious pocket sized washing machine, The Scrubba Wash Bag: an easy and effective means to hand-wash clothes, perfect for a traveler; the camper, the backpacker, the regular tourist, or lazy student.

Conceived and manufactured by Calibre8 Pty Ltd, a 2013 top 100 company in Australia, and Innovation 2012 award winner. A company certainly recognised on its native soil, and surely to wow the equivalent adjudicators in their respective field world-wide.

The Scrubba Wash Bag is compact, lightweight, and only requires the modest power of man and water; simply fill the bag with clothes, water and detergent, close the opening by folds and clip, allow excess air out, and then apply a moderate massage motion with the hand for up to 3 minutes. Once complete, open the bag to empty the dirty water, adding fresh to rinse. Finally, hang the clothes out to dry – all made even easier using the Scrubba Travellers Kit 2013. So how good is it? Well, the Scrubba’s operation has been the test of a leading Australia laundry appliance manufacturer, and proves to be twice as efficacious as conventional hand-washing. Fact!

So my dear traveler, it is time to ditch your cumbersome washboard, and take up the Scrubba in its place, and know wherever you go, your clothes will be as fresh and your new companion, which you can check out below:
