Angry Miao CYBERBOARD Terminal

We don’t know about you but we like to add a bit of vibrancy to our workspace here at Coolector HQ and one of the best means of doing this can be with a technologically superior keyboard. Undoubtedly one of the coolest we’ve seen in a while is this very Matrix-esque, CYBERBOARD Terminal from the guys at Angry Miao. Terminal is the classic entry point into the virtual world and the black background with green characters is iconic and the go-to for coding prodigies the world over.

Available for pre-ordering now, the Angry Miao Cyberboard Terminal is 100% going to sell out fast as is the case with all their excellent releases. Exclusively for CYBERBOARD Terminal, they have custom-made a semi-transparent black PC material that doesn’t require a coating of paint. After mixing the colours together, the base material is directly sandblasted to provide a delicate semi-transparent aesthetic. This enhanced production process is not only more eco-friendly, but is also extremely robust and incredibly striking for any workspace.

STEP INTO THE MATRIX

The stand out feature of the CYBERBOARD Terminal from Angry Miao is the Digital Rain dynamic lighting effect which symbolises Terminal’s command-line, flies across the LED panel atop the keyboard like it’s on an endless search for information from the Matrix. With a special after-effect from each keystroke, it’s pretty much just about as geeky as it gets and we’re absolutely loving it here at Coolector HQ.

Angry Miao are always experimenting to further improve the touch and feel of their CYBERBOARD, and they came up with a redesigned gasket structure to help achieve this objective. Implementing the Gasket Mount into a PC keyboard goes further than just ensuring a good typing experience and the materials and appearance on the inside are also very much up to par. The silicone is integrated with the plate through injection moulding, which not only looks more transparent by blending in with the keyboard’s overall design, but also sounds less hollow and gives it a more solid feel.

The switches with the Terminal are another fundamental aspect of CYBERBOARD’s unique retro aesthetic. Angry Miao chose Glacier Black keycaps and EQUALZ Kiwi switches and stabilisers. Kiwi switches, with their unique translucent bright green color, add a touch of mystery to the Glacier Black keycaps – expertly complimenting Terminal’s classic black and green colour scheme. As for the keycaps, both engraved and non-engraved versions are available. Non-engraved keycaps are a great choice for those who’re looking for a bolder and more aggressive look.
