Style, performance and quality materials are all features synonymous with the watches from British watchmakers, Farer, and these qualities are well and truly in evidence with their stunning Porthleven timepiece. The Porthleven provides a punch of colour from the start, with a silk blue wave dial, framed in a white minute track and bold dot and dash full Super-LumiNova filled hour markers.
The function is never far away from the form with the Porthleven, and so the deep blue oversized arrow minute hand and high contrast beacon red pointed hour hand in thick outline have been designed to give clear readings against the outer sports bezel. The AquaMatic case has been purpose-built for a life aquatic, cut from a solid block of marine grade 316L Stainless Steel. This specialist industry-grade metal enhances the inherent benefits of regular stainless steel by increasing levels of chromium and molybdenum to deliver a toughened steel with exceptional corrosive resistance.
The polished case back is decorated in an engraved Farer arrow marque and wave detail, protecting the Swiss-made Sellita SW220-1 movement and Incabloc Novodiac shock-absorber held within – reaching 41 hours power reserve when fully wound. Another impressive addition to Farer’s already excellent lineup of aquatic-orientated timepieces.
