In the world of watchmaking, there are certain brands that just get it. They understand that a timepiece is more than just a way to tell the time; it’s a statement of style, a piece of wearable art, and a testament to meticulous engineering.
Farer has long been one of those brands. With a design ethos that embraces a love of bold colour and purposeful, elegant design, they’ve carved out a loyal following.

Now, they’re taking things to a new level with the Three Hand Series III, an evolution of one of their very first collections that elevates their original vision to new, sophisticated heights.

At the heart of the Three Hand Series III is an unwavering commitment to vibrant design. The dials are the true showstoppers here, each one a unique and captivating combination of bold colours and textures. Bringing these designs to life is a process that requires hours of craftsmanship and multiple steps.

First, the blank dial is pressed with a custom tool to create a unique pattern. Then, multiple layers of spray paint are applied to achieve the desired smoky colour gradient, followed by a clear lacquer that is polished to a high-gloss finish. This final layer of lacquer is what truly sets these dials apart, encasing the textured surface to create a unique depth and richness.

The text and markers are then printed on top, creating a beautiful floating effect that adds another dimension to these already sophisticated pieces. It’s a level of artistry that you can’t help but admire.
The case of the Three Hand collection is just as thoughtfully constructed. Measuring a highly wearable 39mm in diameter and a slim 11.8mm thick, it’s a case that’s designed for everyday elegance.

The latest series features a new monobloc mid-case and a screw-down crown, which together push the watch’s water resistance to a robust 100 metres. This enhanced capability means the Three Hand is a true weekend warrior, a timepiece that you never have to take off, whether you’re heading for a day at the office or an impromptu dip in the ocean.

Crafted from 316L marine-grade stainless steel, the case combines a mix of brushed and polished surfaces and elegant curves to create a refined silhouette. Completing the look is a box sapphire crystal, which provides a wonderful visual distortion when viewed at an angle, adding another layer of character to this remarkable timepiece.

Inside these handsome cases, a reliable and highly capable Swiss calibre ticks away. Farer has opted for the La Joux-Perret G101, a 24-jewel automatic movement that is as accurate as it is dependable.

The star feature of the G101 is its massive 68-hour power reserve, which means you can take the watch off on Friday night and it will still be ticking come Monday morning.

The collection uses the “soignée” grade of the G101, which is the highest available, adjusted for accuracy in four positions and featuring a custom rotor etched with the Farer logo.

For a price of £1025, the Three Hand Series III represents an exceptional blend of style, quality, and functionality. It’s a timepiece that perfectly embodies Farer’s commitment to sophisticated design and reliable construction, making it an essential addition to any man’s collection.
