Good Vibrations: The Flint and Tinder High Summer in Hill Country Collection

We eagerly await the summer months here at Coolector HQ because it invariably means that some of our favourite menswear brands unleash a barrage of awesome new menswear and so it has proven once again. This time with Flint and Tinder and their brilliant High Summer in Hill Country Collection. Check out our pick of the best bits from this new range below:

A vintage-inspired camp shirt with a puckered, seersucker texture that breathes easy in the heat. Camp collar shirts earned their reputation for leisure in the ’50s and ’60s. F&T took those vintage, easygoing cues and built the Seersucker Keys Camp Shirt to handle long, sweltering summer days.

The Johnny collar polo is a mid-century leisure staple, prized for its clean, buttonless v-neck and relaxed sophistication. Flint & Tinder updated this poolside classic by swapping standard cotton for a highly textured, absorbent terry cloth that leans fully into the spirit of summer.

The Flint and Tinder Cotton Linen Baker Pant beats the heat while maintaining the structured silhouette of a classic utility pant. By blending breathable linen with soft cotton, this lightweight 6.5oz fabric lets the breeze in while maintaining the sturdy feel you expect from classic workwear.

The Poplin Draftsman Shirt is Flint and Tinder’s lightweight take the sharp, functional button-downs worn by midcentury architects. Crafted from 100% cotton poplin, the fabric is intentionally crisp and airy for warmer weather. Because it’s been garment-washed, it bypasses the stiff break-in period, offering a soft handfeel that only improves with every wash and wear.

The Flint and Tinder Vintage Soft Wash T-Shirt is a throwback to the incredibly made tees of a bygone era. The ideal thickness—neither too thin nor too heavy—each is expertly made in the USA using super-soft, garment-dyed cotton to give you that lived-in feel without having to wash and wear it for a decade—though you probably will anyway.

Flint and Tinder designed the Basin Swim Trunks as a versatile homage to the original hybrid shorts of the ’60s and ’70s—the kind of rugged, all-purpose gear meant for knocking around town before taking a spontaneous dip in a local watering hole. Built with a durable 100% nylon shell, these trunks are engineered to handle the grit of a trail hike while remaining lightweight enough to dry quickly after you’ve surfaced from the water.

The Dobby Camp Shirt draws inspiration from classic camp collar shirts. Originally worn by workers in Latin America who needed extra airflow in the sweltering heat, the breezy shirts made waves in the U.S. in the ’50s and ’60s and have been a summer go-to ever since.

The Flint and Tinder Selvedge Denim Chore Coat is a masterclass in balancing workwear grit with refined details. By utilizing a lighter-weight (11oz) all-cotton selvedge denim, it transitions seamlessly through the seasons, offering the long-term durability of a traditional work jacket in a versatile cut that easily dresses up and down.
