Hotel Review: Rixos Bab Al Bahr

Dubai has long been on our bucket list of destinations to visit here at The Coolector and our first foray to the Gulf State was one to remember courtesy of the excellent Rixos Bab Al Bahr.

When one thinks of the United Arab Emirates, a certain level of luxury and sophistication immediately springs to mind. But while many resorts deliver on the opulent aesthetics, few manage to package it all with the kind of hassle-free, all-inclusive ethos that truly allows you to kick back and relax.

The Rixos Bab Al Bahr is one of those rare exceptions, a five-star slice of paradise nestled on the pristine white sands of the tranquil Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah.

This isn’t your average beachside escape. With a spectacular location that boasts breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf, this resort is a masterclass in combining natural beauty with upscale amenities. But the real game-changer here is the all-inclusive promise. Forget about budgeting for every meal and drink; at Rixos Bab Al Bahr, nearly everything is on the house.

From the moment you arrive, you can indulge in a kaleidoscope of cuisine, from the eclectic spread at the Seven Heights buffet to the five delectable à la carte restaurants (top tip: be sure to book these early as they fill up fast and we particularly recommend the Turkish cuisine at Lalezar), which include a steakhouse and a seafood spot for those special evenings.

Thirsty? The selection of unlimited beverages at the Isla Beach Bar and Mojito Lounge ensures you’re never left wanting. The all-inclusive experience extends well beyond food and drink, too. Guests can enjoy a diverse choice of entertainment and nightlife, access to top-tier kids’ clubs, a rejuvenating spa, and a wide array of sports and recreational activities.

With stylish accommodations and a beautiful private beach right on your doorstep, the Rixos Bab Al Bahr is the ultimate destination for those who want a stress-free, luxurious getaway without compromising on quality or choice.

It’s a short 25 kilometres from Ras Al Khaimah City and a manageable 80 kilometres from Dubai, making it a perfectly situated sanctuary for unwinding and indulging.

Sometimes, a luxury holiday is all about kicking back on a sun lounger and doing absolutely nothing. But for some—the ones who can’t sit still and have an unquenchable thirst for activity—the all-inclusive Rixos Bab Al Bahr is nothing short of a sporting paradise.

This isn’t a resort that expects you to simply lie in the sun; it’s one that actively coaxes you from your slumber with a rich and varied menu of things to do.

You’ve got a whole Arabian Gulf beachfront to play with, so naturally, a solid dose of beach games is on the cards. Grab some friends for a game of beach volleyball or football, or simply take a dip in the warm, gentle waves.

If you prefer to stay on terra firma, there are courts for basketball, tennis (a small charge applies for night-time floodlights, mind you), and plenty of table-based games like billiards and table football.

But the action doesn’t stop there. The resort’s pools are home to a vibrant schedule of fitness classes, from Pilates and Yoga to Zumba and water gym sessions, ensuring you can work off last night’s all-inclusive feast with a bit of fun.

For the real adrenaline junkies, the Water Sports Centre is where you’ll find a host of thrilling motorised activities, including jet skiing, parasailing, and banana boat rides—though, it’s worth noting these come with an additional charge.

From a casual game of darts to a full-on water ski session, the Rixos Bab Al Bahr is purpose-built to cater to the energetic holidaymaker. It’s the perfect spot to get your heart pumping and prove to everyone that you’re not just here for the sun loungers; you’re here to conquer the holiday, one activity at a time.

Whether you’re a seasoned traveller to Dubai or it’s your first time in the UAE, Rixos Bab Al Bahr has something for everyone and we thoroughly recommend a stay here at Coolector.
