Shinola Runwell Contrast Chronograph

Our obsession with Shinola watches here at Coolector HQ is almost taking on stalker-esque proportions now but we find it entirely impossible not to be bowled over by their fantastically crafted timepieces and whenever they’ve a new iteration on the market, chances are will be amongst the first drooling over it. Well, that’s the case once again with their release of the Shinola Runwell Contrast Chronograph Watch which is their first foray into rubber strapped watches and, as you may expect, it is positively dripping in awesomeness.

Billed as the next evolution of Detroit watchmaking, and who are we to argue, the Shinola Runwell Contrast Chronograph Watch has some mightily impressive specifications which compliment it being the Detroit brand’s first rubber orientated offering and we’re definitely fan of the aesthetic here at Coolector HQ.

Just some of the most striking characteristics to be found with this top class timepiece include a visually stunning black dial with three cream subdials and date indicator. The watch has a Detroit-built Argonite 5030 high-accuracy quartz movement as its beating heart and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass front. The strap is the key new component of the watch and you can check out this attractive feature below:

Shinola have long left us impressed with their manufacturing process but were it not for the first rate nature of their watches, this would count for naught and the Runwell Contrast Chronograph is the latest in a ever-growing list of brilliant timepieces.

The affordability of the brand is commendable when you take into account the superb manufacturing processes behind Shinola watches and we’re definitely going to remain the weird groupie that continues to stalk the Shinola brand because, quite frankly, we can think of few watchmakers doing it better right now.
