AVI-8 Night Reaper Limited Edition Watches

We love a limited edition watch here at Coolector HQ and the guys over at AVI-8 are regularly releasing exactly that and the latest to have captured our attention is their wonderfully stealthy series of timepieces – say hello to the Night Reaper Limited Edition Capsule. These extraordinary timepieces pay homage to the legendary Squadron Leader Karel “Kut” Kuttelwascher and the remarkable history of the Royal Air Force’s (RAF) famed No. 1 Squadron.

There are three different watches to choose from within this first-class capsule collection and if you’re after something impactful on your wrist in 2024, there will be something that more than fits the bill within the Night Reaper Limited Edition collection. The three watches available are the Carey Dual Time Night Reaper Limited Edition (£195), the Classic Chronograph Night Reaper Limited Edition (£225) and the Clowes Automatic Night Reaper Limited Edition (£379).

It’s hard not to be impressed with the stealthy style of the Night Reaper Limited Editions from AVI-8 which is an exclusive capsule within the Hawker Hurricane family of timepieces. Each one of the three is inspired by Kuttelwascher’s iconic Hurricane JX-E (serial BE581) and they are meticulously crafted in deep black hues. The Classic Chronograph and Carey Dual Time editions are limited to 170 pieces each, while the Clowes edition is limited to just 120 pieces – so, if you like what you see, make sure you move quickly to secure one for your wrist.

Squadron Leader Karel Kuttelwascher, who was commonly known as “The Czech night hawk,” wrote his name chief among WWII’s elite Czechoslovak fighter pilots. Assigned to No. 1 Squadron for perilous night intruder missions in 1942, Kuttelwascher’s black Hurricane, adorned with a yellow scythe and red banner, became the feared “Night Reaper.” With 18 confirmed air victories, his exceptional skills earned accolades, including the Distinguished Flying Cross, making him an icon in aviation history. Now is your chance to own a watch celebrating his aviation skills.
