Bravur Grand Tour Chronograph Series

Swedish watchmaking is, in our opinion here at The Coolector, right up there with the best of them right now and there are few better examples of this in action than with Bravur and their latest release – the Grand Tour Chronograph Series of watches. As a homage to the three Grand Tours, the biggest and most prestigious bike races in the world, the team at Bravur have crafted a striking chronograph watch series that bears the same name. The series consists of three models, with each model featuring colours, graphics and textures that are directly inspired by the corresponding race and released at the same time as the race.

Check out these majestic looking timepieces below:

Grand Tour – La Corsa Rosa | $2450

The Grand Tour – La Corsa Rosa model has a case diameter of 38,2 mm, which is a striking and versatile size. The case is crafted from 316L stainless steel and combines brushed and polished surfaces, delivering a balanced and sophisticated aesthetic. The timepiece boasts three sub dials with a 15 minute counter, ideally suited for timing those intervals, a 12 hour counter, which should be enough to keep track of your riding time, and lastly running seconds. The main second hand in the centre of the dial is a 60 second chronograph. The watch is powered by a Swiss made Sellita SW511 movement, with automatic winding.

Grand Tour – La Grande Boucle | $2450

This stunning timepiece feature several design elements from the Tour de France and the world of cycling which really makes it stand out from the crowd. One of the most obvious is the yellow accents used on the big second hand and the sub dial hands. The yellow colour, which is associated with Tour de France and the leader’s jersey, has its origin from newspaper L’Auto, that founded the race and was printed on yellow paper. The watch is powered by a Swiss made Sellita SW511 movement, with automatic winding and only 50 watches will be produced of this model, each numbered on the case back. The perforated leather strap gives the watch a sporty but stylish look, adding an extra vintage vibe to proceedings.

Grand Tour – La Vuelta | $2450

The La Vuelta from Bravur’s Grand Tour series is dominated by a red accent, which takes its aesthetic inspiration from the leader’s jersey in the Vuelta a España. The red colour really pops nicely against the silver white panda dial of this devilishly dapper timepiece. At 12 o’clock you’ll find a red “la flamme rouge”, the red triangular flag marking the last kilometre of a race. The centre of the dial boasts a tarmac pattern, and discreet darker grey areas on the sub dials completes the textured circle. A really classy looking timepiece that we’re loving here at The Coolector.
