DAN HENRY X WORN & WOUND 1970 LIMITED EDITION WATCH

Worn & Wound are synonymous with the world of watches now and this is something that many of the leading watchmakers are now well aware of and that’s why more and more are choosing to do collaborations with the leading timepiece publication. And we’re mighty glad that they do here at Coolector HQ because the end results are always nothing short of exceptional. The latest to have caught our eye is the Dan Henry x Worn & Wound 1970 Limited Edition Watch which is available now to cherry pick from their digital shelves.

The Dan Henry x Worn & Wound 1970 Limited Edition Watch comes from good stock because the 1970 is probably Dan Henry’s most sought after and revered offering. It takes its design inspiration from dual-crown dive watches (often referred to as “super compressors” though that’s not technically always correct). The 1970 effortlessly captures an often overlooked style of dive watch with pitch perfect detailing, and an exceptionally reasonable price tag of just $290.

Devil and the Deep Blue Sea

Dapper in the extreme, this Dan Henry x Worn & Wound 1970 Limited Edition Watch has a thoroughly impressive 200m water resistance (though you’d perhaps expect this from a dive watch) and this is joined by a domed sapphire-coated mineral crystal glass casing and an automatic Seiko NH35A movement which, considering the sub-$300 price tag is nothing short of extraordinary.

The Dan Henry x Worn & Wound 1970 Limited Edition Watch ($290) is something that Worn & Wound have wanted to do for years now since they first wrote about these wonderfully vintage looking watches. Dan Henry’s mix of vintage source material, meticulous eye for detail, finishing quality and value made them an ideal candidate to work with, so they started the process almost two years ago. Worn & Wound were immediately drawn to the 1970 collection as it was the only mechanical watch in their line up, a type of watch they hadn’t based a limited edition on before, and, simply put, they loved it.

Fun, comfortable, sporty, stylish, the 1970 from Dan Henry checked every box for Worn & Wound and this limited edition release knocks things up a notch. They decided to dig through their archive of watch inspiration images (yes, of course Worn & Wound have one) and came upon an incredibly cool, unique and under-appreciated watch to extract some DNA from for this brilliant limited release; namely, the Enicar Sherpa-Ops.

Very Limited Release

This one is going to fly off the shelves mighty fast considering that a] it costs under $300 and b] only 300 are being released so if you’ve liked what you’ve seen of the Dan Henry x Worn & Wound 1970 Limited Edition Watch make sure that you move quickly to secure one. We’re loving the vintage vibes it positively exudes here at Coolector HQ and we’re sure there will be plenty of other dive watch aficionados itching to get their hands on it.

Each one of the case-backs on these majestic looking timepieces have been inscribed “Limited Edition for W&W” and their serial number has been etched as well and there are 150 per version. Priced at $290, the Dan Henry x Worn & Wound 1970 Limited Edition Collaboration is a great value for money and will likely be all sold out long before Santa Claus comes to town.
