Danner x Mystery Ranch Trail 2650 GTX Hiking Shoe

Two of our favourite brands collaborating on a project can never be a bad thing and that’s why we were delighted when we saw the Danner x Mystery Ranch Trail 2650 GTX Hiking Shoe that is available to buy from the guys at Huckberry. Both Danner and Mystery Ranch are amongst the best in the business when it comes to outdoors-orientated footwear and accessories and that really comes to the fore in this great-looking and highly functional piece of footwear.

The Danner x Mystery Ranch Trail 2650 GTX Hiking Shoe is priced at $220 and, considering the comfort and performance it delivers on the backcountry trails, this is a small price to pay in our opinion here at The Coolector. This trail shoe from Danner has been designed with hiking pack legends Mystery Ranch and the attention to detail that both brands have when it comes to their products is definitely in evidence here. Out on the trail, there shouldn’t be anything that weighs you down – and this is especially true of your footwear. The Trail 2650 is Danner’s answer to the lightweight hiking shoe and it’s never looked so good.

Boasting a durable mesh combined with lightweight textile uppers the Danner x Mystery Ranch Trail 2650 GTX makes for a modern shoe with the longevity and robustness that you’d expect from the guys at Danner. Taking its design inspiration from trail running shoes, this low-profile hiker combines a no-nonsense and hard-wearing mesh and lightweight textile upper with a trail-focused Vibram outsole, in conjunction with a stabilisong shank for a sure-footed grip below.

The Vibram 460 outsole is formulated with a Megagrip compound and self-adapting lugs for sure footing on any surface, wet or dry and the ultralight EVA midsole and removable Ortholite footbed delivers unparalleled cushioning while keeping things lightweight – something that is of paramount importance out on the hiking trail.

Aesthetically, these brilliant boots from Danner and Mystery Ranch are inspired by the layered colours of Big Sky Country sunsets and will make sure you’re just as comfortable on mile one as you are on mile 15. If you’re planning on hitting some wilderness trails over the next few months, you’re definitely going to want a pair of these on your feet.
