Farer Eddington Moonphase Watch

British watchmakers, Farer, have been on our radar for years now and we’ve been patiently waiting for them to release a moonphase timepiece and that patience has been rewarded with the stunning Eddington Moonphase Watch that they have just released. This gorgeous-looking timepiece is a hand-wound moonphase watch that boasts an understated and stylish brushed salmon pink dial and a choice of strap.

Priced at £1475, the Farer Eddington Moonphase Watch is great value for money and a worthy addition to any watch collector’s line up of timepieces. The moon phase of the Eddington uses a disc that’s meticulously handpainted in Switzerland and adds a real touch of class to the aesthetic. Against the midnight blue sky is a lumed white moon that glows strongly in the dark and delivers a visual impact that is beyond compare.

Ensuring the ideal pairing to the white moon is hour markers which are crafted from pure white Super-LumiNova. These alternate between batons and Roman numerals and as they’re applied to the dial they give the design an extra sense of depth. These are joined by a polished lance handset and a second hand with a blue Farer A at its tip.

This classy offering from Farer measures 38.5mm in diameter and the streamlined steel case will sit effortlessly and stylishly on any wrist. The smooth curves and polished finish of the cushion case give it a sophisticated appearance that makes the Eddington Moonphase perfectly suited for both everyday wear and more formal occasions.

The power of the Eddington is delivered by a hand-wound Sellita SW288-1 movement. This Elaboré Grade Swiss movement incorporates a large aperture moonphase function that is as accurate as it is visually impactful. It has been adjusted in three positions and boasts a custom engraving of the Farer arrow pattern across the bridge, which can be viewed through the sapphire case back. The calibre has 18 jewels, a 45-hour power reserve, and a beat rate of 4Hz. Another wonderful addition to Farer’s already impressive line up of luxury watches.
