If you’re ready to continue the era of the early denim pioneers? The Greasy Jacket from Fuel Motorcycles (€240) is definitely a good place to start. In the early years denim clothing was designed for workers in factories, in mining or on railway lines, but now it’s the ideal choice for safe and stylish rides. The Vintage design of the Greasy Jacket leaves it in little doubt that this great piece of outerwear is made for nostalgic riders out there and it allows you to ride with maximum comfort and protection.

It has been crafted by experts and has been carefully developed for riders. It has protection on the shoulders, elbows, and back which will ensure you feel safe at all times. Not to forget the jacket’s longer back which provides better cover whilst riding. Best of all, the mix of denim with aramid (single layer) allows you to wear the jacket every day and everywhere – on your bike or even without your bike. (€240)

Fuel Greasy Selvedge Denim Jeans – €410

Fuel’s Greasy Selvedge Denim Jeans (€410) are a unique product. Why? The secret comes from the materials they use. They are crafted from Selvedge Denim which has been mixed with Aramid fibers to achieve a light, comfortable fit and AA safety rating. Before the 1950s, most fabrics — including denim were made on shuttle looms. Shuttle looms produce tightly woven strips (typically one yard wide) of heavy fabric. The edges on these strips of fabric come finished with tightly woven bands running down each side that prevent fraying or curling. As the edges come out of the loom finished, denim produced on shuttle looms are referred to as having a “self-edge,” hence the name “selvedge” denim.

These fantastic looking jeans are made with both contemporary and vintage sewing machines combining the spirit of old times and the functionality and safety of today’s riding requirements. Some of these manufacturing machines are 100 years old and make highly strong stitching giving these goods from Fuel Motorcycles a touch of longevity and robustness. The hip and knee protectors are made from Polyanswer, a premium Portuguese manufacturer of CE protectors making this tough and stylish in equal measure. €410)
