Born from the minds of two friends — Nate, a former property manager, and his brother-in-law from the restaurant industry, Blane — Wild Cargo was built to fill a glaring gap in the local menswear market.
Before they opened their doors, shopping for gear in Jackson usually meant choosing between two extremes: hyper-technical mountaineering shops flooded with fluorescent lights, or going full-tilt Western in cowboy boots and leather vests.
The founders dreamed of a sweet spot in the middle—a welcoming outpost for regular guys who care about uncompromising quality rather than fleeting hype. Think of it as a physical Huckberry, deeply grounded in the spirit of the Mountain West.
The store takes its brilliant moniker from a weathered WWII B-25 bomber named “Wild Cargo,” perfectly capturing the grit, heritage, and utilitarian adventure that lines their shelves.
Opening their doors in the summer of 2024, they immediately began stocking a heavy-hitting roster of absolute Coolector favourites, including Taylor Stitch, Tellason, Mystery Ranch, and Schott NYC.
