Laventure Sous-Marine Watches

There is a certain something about dive watches that resonates with our style sensibilities here at The Coolector and if you’re just as enamoured with bold, adventure ready timepieces, you’ll want to sit up and take notice of these exemplary looking Laventure Sous-Marine Watches which are about as dapper as they come. Impeccably crafted and bold aesthetically, these eye-catching dive watches are the perfect choice for those wanting a timepiece that looks great above and below the waves.

The Laventure Sous-Marine Watches are the second collection from this first class Swiss watchmaker and we’re finding it hard not to be won over by everything that is on offer here. Available for a price starting at 2350 CHF, these stunning timepieces might not be the cheapest dive watches on the market but they’re certainly amongst the most reliable and well made. Available in a number of different colourways to suit your own style tastes, this looks set to become the watch collection that truly puts Laventure on the horological map.

Dive, Dive, Dive

There’s a real uncompromising, bold aesthetic to dive watches that is impossible to ignore and few are more indicative of this than this superb new collection of Sous-Marine Watches from Laventure. Each one is dripping with quality and assembled to order to ensure that it is of the highest possible calibre. Genuinely Swiss made (with over 95% Swiss components), this majestic series of timepieces from Laventure boasts a 41mm diameter case that fits all wrists which is adorned with an ultra-domed sapphire glass “Superdome” type, which is resolutely vintage with an internal anti-reflective coating.

The Laventure Sous-Marine Watches have such a striking dial (regardless of which colour way you end up choosing) and it is these that really make their mark visually. The dials are of a “sandwich” construction and have a sleek graphic design for maximum legibility. They consist of two superimposed plates, the brushed upper part, which is lacquered with a subtle gradient of colour which darkens on the edges. At the location of the indexes, there is a cut-out which showcases the “vintage” photo-luminescent coating covering the lower plate. This contrast of light and dark lacquer offers an optimal reading during day or night, thanks to a homogeneous and controlled photo-luminescence.

As with all high quality, luxury Swiss watches, it is the movement that is the most important component and it definitely doesn’t disappoint with the Laventure Sous-Marine Watch collection. You’ll find them powered by a automatic movement Swiss ETA 2824-2 which has 25 jewels to reduce wear and extend its life. Its balance in Glucydur alternates 28,800 times per hour, a frequency of 4 Hertz ensuring it to be accurate to 99.986% and it boasts an impressive 38 hour power reserve to boot.

Strapping Design

The choice of material on the strap is important when crafting top quality dive watches and you’ll be impressed with what is on offer here. The Laventure Sous-Marine Watches let you choose from several different strap types but the stand out ones for us here at Coolector HQ are the calf leather with vegetable tanned strap that will develop a fabulous patina over time and the black rubber FKM strap, which is the best quality rubber for the straps of real divers.

For anyone in the market for a wonderfully well dive watch for under their undersea adventures in 2019 and beyond, there really are few better candidates to be on your wrist than these excellent looking Laventure Sous-Marine timepieces. Swiss made precious combines with a rugged, no-nonsense aesthetic to create one of the coolest collection of dive watches we’ve seen in a while here at The Coolector.
