Manta5 Hydrofoiler XE-1

We love cycling from time to time here at Coolector HQ but, truth be told, we’ve never really considered taking this out onto the open water because, well, sinking. That issue might soon be a thing of the past if the awesome looking Manta5 Hydrofoiler XE-1 has got anything to do with it as it looks set to take people’s love of pedalling and transplant it out onto the water in a cleverly designed device that immediately draws the eye.

Currently only available for pre-order in New Zealand, the Manta5 Hydrofoiler XE-1 is billed as a new frontier for cycling which, given it intends to get you out on lakes and reservoirs, it’s certainly a fair claim. Created with a desire to reproduce the cycling experience on water Manta5 have crafted the world’s most technologically advanced hydrofoil bike which lets you to aquaplane across the water’s surface with ease and it will offer a riding experience like no other.

Hit The Water

In its final stages of development and available for pre-order now, the Manta5 Hydrofoiler XE-1 is a bonkers looking contraption for sure but it is also one of the coolest ways of getting out onto the open water for some effective cardio exercise. This cleverly conceived machine will offer the most unique and innovative cycling experience to date and for those of you looking for a way to combine your love of cycling and watersports, look no further.

Likely to feel a little unnatural at first, you’ll soon pick up the intricacies of riding the Manta5 Hydrofoiler XE-1 and it has a dynamic power that lets you easily adjust the level of rider input from manual or pedal assist depending on how tired you get. In addition to this, it also boasts a clever, modular design which ensures that it’s always quick to assemble, simple to transport, and easy to upgrade with your own bespoke components.

This supremely cool looking device has a silent electric motor which is designed for lakes, rivers and ocean use so regardless of the body of water you’ve got your eye on tackling, the Manta5 won’t let you down. The 400-W motor gives you quiet propulsion so, unlike a lot of water sport machines you won’t be disturbing the peace when you head out on this and it will help maintain the sense of tranquility that comes from navigating open stretches of water.

Built To Last

Needless to say, any contraption built for use on water needs to be made of sturdy stuff and the Manta5 Hydrofoiler XE-1 certainly is. It has carbon fibre hydrofoils that are as strong as steel and crafted by aeronautical engineers for optimised lift, and drag reduction. These are joined by a carbon fibre reinforced nylon propellor to the rear that delivers the perfect balance and produces thrust at low speed and drag reduction at top speed.

If you’ve grown weary of the current raft of water sports available and want to try your hand at something new, the Manta5 Hydrofoiler XE-1 could well be the perfect thing for you. Lamentably, currently only available for pre-orders in New Zealand but we’re sure that there will be a much larger roll out when people clamour to get their hands on these awesome looking machines the world over.
