Marathon Navigator Watch

Adventure-ready and eye-catching are two of the main components of the timepieces from the guys at Marathon and this is particularly true of their magnificent-looking Navigator Watch which is available to buy from the guys at Worn & Wound.

Priced at $830, the Marathon Navigator Watch is designed in Canada and crafted in Switzerland which is the best of both worlds in our opinion. Marathon watches are purpose-built to tackle some of the most uncompromising MIL SPEC standards out there. Even if you don’t find yourself regularly jumping out of planes and undergoing rapid pressure/altitude changes, the Navigator can withstand these harsh environments without batting an eye.

After years of demands from fans of the Marathon, the Navigator finally comes in a 41mm asymmetrical matte stainless steel with a 41mm asymmetrical case. The crown is now screwed down, allowing a leap in its water resistance capabilities from 60m to 100m. It still has a bi-directional 12-hr bezel for tracking a second timezone while remaining 13mm thick. It boasts a matte steel push/pull crown at the 3 o’clock position that sit in the case side, and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal up top.

The dial on the Navigator is understated and legible, with both a 12- and 24-hour scale. Each hour marker is highlighted with an inset tritium tube that will glow in the dark without any exposure to light, courtesy of the radioactive gas inside. Running around the dial, you’ll find a bi-directional 12-hour bezel that can be used to count hours or track a different time zone.

Inside the case of the Marathon Navigator Watch, there is ETA’s F06 high torque quartz movement with three jewels. This reliable and no-nonsense movement will tick for 5+ years before needing a battery swap, making it an excellent grab-and-go watch for your collection.
