Paulin Neo x Windup Store Watch

Sometimes simple is best and this is particularly true when it comes to design – something that is admirably illustrated by this awesome looking, and pleasingly understated, Paulin Neo x WindUp Store Watch. The Paulin Neo series is the company’s hit collaboration watch created in conjunction with fellow Scottish watchmaker, anOrdain. Taking its visual influences from Postmodernism, the Neo is more than just a collaboration between two watchmaking companies, as the founders are actually married to each other.

The Paulin Neo x WindUp Store Watch is a limited edition offering available from the Worn & Wound Store and has an affordable price tag of $530 – which is a great price for a timepiece as attractive and well made as this one. The 38mm brushed stainless steel case is just 11.6mm thick and boasts drilled lugs that easily accommodate a conventional 18mm strap. Acting as the beating heart of this devilishly dapper timepiece is a handmade anodised aluminium dial, which is made entirely within the UK and shows off the bespoke typeface that was developed entirely in-house and informs the distinct design language of the centrally-mounted hands.

A signed push-pull crown, along with a display case back and a box-shaped Hesalite crystal all come together to deliver the Paulin Neo with a vintage aesthetic we’re loving here at The Coolector. This classy timepiece offers users 50 meters of water resistance and uses the tried and true Seiko NH35A automatic movement, which provides reliable and proven timekeeping performance along with a power reserve of approximately 41 hours.

In addition to its expertly uncompromising design and proven track record for dependability, the popularity of the Seiko NH35A guarantees simple servicing and repairs that can be carried out by virtually any qualified watchmaker in the entire world. The blocky hour and minute hands are completed by black to tally up with the striking calendar disc, while the seconds hand is bright white to compliment the accenting highlights on the dial itself. Finishing off the Paulin Neo is a black two-piece leather strap that is fitted with a Paulin-signed stainless steel pin buckle.
