ProTek All Terrain Watches

Adventure-readiness is something that we typically demand from a timepiece here at The Coolector and we’ve found a brand that delivers this in spades in the shape of ProTek Watches. The brainchild of founder and former Luminox CEO and owner, Barry Cohen, ProTek Watches sees him return to his speciality of tactical, no-nonsense timepieces after creating a number of other watch brands over the last few years. We’re glad that he’s returned to his roots because these ProTek All Terrain Watches are most excellent indeed.

ProTek is currently running a Kickstarter campaign for their Limited Edition Stainless Steel Dive Watch where you can pick one up for the bargain price of just $395 which is $200 off the final intended retail price. You can also head on over to the ProTek site to pick up one of their other watches on pre-order for delivery this summer. If you’re into your robust, uncompromising and adventure-orientated timepieces, you need to get a ProTek on your wrist in 2022.

Cleverly named, ProTek watches don’t mess around when it comes to performance. Pro: For professionals at the top of their craft and others on their journey to the top. Tek: For the innovative, self-powered Swiss illumination technology built into every watch. If that sounds like the sort of timepiece you’d like to have on your wrist, they are available in a number of different styles and colours and represent exceptional value for money in our opinion here at The Coolector.

ProTek’s blend of professionalism and technology when it comes to creating their watches is commendable and shines through in their latest Kickstarter campaign. All their watches boast an elite performance and great style and this makes them the ideal daily-wear timepiece for a wide array of people. But the brand was conceived for a particular market segment – those that ProTekt us, people we might take for granted occasionally, but never should: Law Enforcement, SWAT, Tactical, Military, First Responders and more. Rugged at heart, these watches needed to be robust as a result and they definitely won’t let you down when push comes to shove.

ProTek is an impressive new American watch brand and has a number of timepieces  comprising three series within the brand in the launch collection. Their Series 1000 campaign ran for a month and was fully funded in less than 24 hours which is testament to the quality of their watches and the demand for them within their target market. The brand was already funded but ran the Kickstarter campaigns in order to accelerate awareness of its emergence on the watch scene. ProTek takes no shortcuts in the manufacture of its watches and uses components that the team deems best in terms of quality and dependability. Series 2000 has a 316L Stainless Steel Case and bezel with a tight 120-click unidirectional ratcheting bezel for dive timing, sapphire crystal with antireflective coating, screw crowns, embossed stainless steel screw case back, 200 meters of water resistance, and run on dependable Miyota (division of Citizen) Japanese quartz movements with 10-year batteries ensuring trouble free performance for a long time.
