&SONS Weston Field Jacket

Winter means being prepared and, in our opinion, here at The Coolector, this entails investing in some high quality outerwear and, quite frankly, it doesn’t come much better than the &SONS Weston Field Jacket. Boasting vintage vibes aplenty and the sort of robust, adventure-ready performance you’ll demand from your outerwear, this jacket is available for pre-ordering now for a mid-November delivery – just in time for when the worst of the winter weather begins to hit typically.

The &SONS Weston Field Jacket is very reasonably priced at just £295 and, considering its aesthetic appeal and abundant quality in terms of the materials used, you’d typically expect to pay much more for a jacket of this quite considerable calibre. The Weston Field Jacket is built for the adventurer and it is &SONS very own heavyweight, waxed canvas jacket made to meet the elements. This one will definitely sell out quickly and just 250 pieces are being made available for 2021, so move fast if you want to hit the adventure trail in style this winter.

WILDERNESS INSPIRED APPAREL

If you have a love of the great outdoors and often found yourself in search of adventure, the &SONS Weston Field Jacket is definitely the one for you. This devilishly dapper offering is directly inspired by a hunting jacket that the team at &SONS discovered in a vintage store last year – The waxed coated canvas had aged beautifully, and it came complete with a pocket for nearly every purpose. This level of functionality and versatility is something that they wanted to infuse into the Weston Field Jacket and from what we can see here at The Coolector, it’s mission well and truly accomplished.

The Weston Field Jacket from &SONS (£295) is a labour of love for &SONS founder, Phil, who as an adventure photographer, immediately imagined a jacket that could provide him with the function he needed for a photo shoot and the movement required to carry out his work without having to break stride. The Weston Field Jacket was born and carried the distinguished hallmarks of an &SONS piece – namely, an impeccable attention to detail, unparalleled craftsmanship and top quality materials.

Thought to have originated in the mid-1800s, the hunting jacket was a weatherproof, mid-length jacket made to conceal and carry numerous shooting paraphernalia. The Weston Field Jacket is overflowing with excellent features to help set it apart from the competition which includes camera Harness shoulder straps, deep, wide flap pockets to hold camera accessories, a secret phone pocket on right chest, a laid on pocket to the left chest with pen pockets, 360º Poachers pocket for more oversized items such as telescopic lens and a bellowed shoulder seam for ease of movement and minimal restriction. After the ultimate adventure jacket? You’ve just found it.
