Star Wars™ x Kross Studio Bobba Fett Watch

We’re not going to lie, we’ve seen our fair share of Star Wars™ inspired merchandise in our time here at The Coolector but, quite frankly, nothing even comes close to matching the awesomeness of this Star Wars™ x Kross Studio Bobba Fett Watch. Boasting insane attention to detail and impeccable craftsmanship, this is the sort of product that the saying “needs to be seen to be believed” is reserved for.

The Star Wars™ x Kross Studio Bobba Fett Watch is a new and limited exclusive collector set that takes its design inspiration from the legendary bounty hunter, Boba FettTM. The Swiss design studio is understandably proud to showcase this new and limited edition offering of ten Boba FettTM-inspired collector sets, each complete with a numbered, manual wound Boba FettTM-inspired central Tourbillon timepiece and a watch display by EFX, inspired by Boba FettTM’s famed starship.

Kross Studio is a talented bunch indeed as the KS 7’000 mechanical complication within a 45mm grade 5 titanium case, coated with chocolate PVD watch admirably illustrates. The clarity and symmetry of the Boba FettTM-inspired Tourbillon dial really does belie the complexity of its manual-wound central tourbillon movement, which consists of an amazing 220 parts. Each of the ten numbered timepieces has been designed and assembled within the Kross Studio atelier in Gland, Switzerland.

The engineers at Kross Studio took things to a whole other level by undertaking the challenge of manufacturing a miniature starship on its landing platform at the top of the tourbillon’s cage. Consisting of eight pieces, each miniature tourbillon resembling Boba FettTM’s firespray starship has been produced at Kross Studio and put together using CNC machines. Each one has been painstakingly engraved and hand painted to mimic the weathered appearance of Boba FettTM’s ship as it appears in Bespin™ at Cloud City in the Star Wars film saga.

The hour hand on the magnificent watch is inspired by Boba FettTM’s jetpack and the minute hand by its rocket, two iconic items that the bounty hunter carries on his person at all times. The design of this watch needed an equal balance of ergonomic considerations and enhanced user experience. The unique D-ring crown, located on the case back, and the “Time Set” push button, placed at 3 o’clock on the edge of the watch, ensure a low profile to make sure of more comfortable wear than a conventional crown while also improving performance with a faster, easier winding and time-setting experience.
