From an aesthetic perspective, this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible from Collecting Cars is going to be tough to beat and it’s undoubtedly one of the coolest looking cars we’ve seen in a while here at The Coolector. It has a current bid of just $15k so, chances are, someone might just be bagging themselves a classic car bargain when the hammer goes down on this one in six days time.

ABUNDANT OLD SCHOOL COOL

If ever there was a car that positively screams 1960s, this Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is probably it and it will add a real touch of old school cool to any classic car collector’s line up of vehicles. Its power comes from a 5.4-litre V8 engine with a restored block, coupled to a four-speed manual Transmission which ensures that this Corvette won’t disappoint the new owner when it comes to its performance out on the open road.

This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible (current bid of $15k) was treated to a full, ‘body-off’ restoration, which was carried out over approximately 1,000 hours, and was completed in 2019 so you’ll be blown away by the visual impact it possesses and the sheer quality of the aesthetics both inside and out. It comes finished in Marlboro Maroon, with a white soft-top roof and black leather upholstery in the cabin.

It rides on a set of 15-inch wheels with chrome centre caps, which are wrapped with a combination of Hankook and Grand Spirit Touring tyres and the cabin comes equipped with a wood-rimmed steering wheel, chrome switchgear, a Delco radio, and a smart analogue clock all of which combine to really cultivate the 60s vibe that this car boasts. If you’re after a retro-tastic car for your line up, look no further.
