CAFFEINE CREATIVITY

One for the coffee lovers with a penchant for neolithic design, the Anza is taking the coffee world by storm with its bold, no-nonsense aesthetic and high quality performance.

You’ll not find another coffee machine quite like this one anywhere else out there and it’s not surprising that they are being snapped up in their droves by coffee lovers the world over.

For some people, making espresso is an exact science. It’s clear to see that the guys at AnZa have always seen it more as an artform. With art and design, materials matter. AnZa is about choosing different materials—materials that provoke a response and encourage a relationship. It is their goal to reward the user with a unique ownership experience and bring a real joy and tactile enjoyment to the process of making an espresso in the morning (or at any point during the day for that matter).

By using unorthodox materials for the AnZa Coffee Machines (from $1365) – such as concrete, brass, and wood – they have transformed a mechanical tool into an object of beauty and desire. As they first designed these machines, they also made prototypes. AnZa experimented with different knobs, switches, materials, colours, and finishes to find the perfect design aesthetic for their stunning coffee machines. Over the years, different designers contributed to the machine’s development with ideas and material samples and the AnZa aesthetic of simple luxury emerged, translated into two different material finishes.

AnZa Concrete is the polar opposite of all the bent stainless steel coffee machines you see. It’s not shiny, precise, or smooth with its finish. It’s matte, rough, organic, and heavy. The precision of the ceramic steam knob and portafilter handle complement the concrete materials used. You won’t find your usual black plastic knobs here and it’s all the more incredible for it. The AnZa White Coffee Machine is no less impressive and offers a striking addition to any coffee lover’s kitchen. If we were to choose one here at The Coolector though, it would be the concrete one all day long.
