Chinita House

We’ve discovered some real architectural gems in South America of late here at The Coolector and we’ve got another to add to that list in the shape of Chinita House. Located in Chile, this magical piece of modern design has some 280m² of living space and can be found in the IV Region of Chile, at the start of the Atacama Desert.

This breathtaking house was designed by DX Arquitectos and aims to bring together several members of an extended family. Cleverly designed to offer the home shelter from the harsh northern wind and sun rays, we’re loving the aesthetic of this thoroughly modern design here at Coolector HQ.

From the outside of the property, surrounded by a high palisade, this space projects onto a covered terrace and then towards the interior, which ensures that the amazing views of the ocean are available at all times with the sound of breaking waves delivering a real sense of relaxation and calm to the homeowners.

The architects behind Chinita House wanted to gradually blur the limit between the open and closed spaces it has whilst making sure they preserved the nature of the local landscape in a vast central patio. This is where the family can really relax and unwind and this spot perfectly combines the views and access to all the areas of the home.
