The Cummins-Powered 1949 Dodge Power Wagon Four-Door from Bring A Trailer has a stunning jet black exterior which is stealthiness personified and with just 1,400 Miles Shown on the clock, this one is presented in an immaculate, restored condition. This glorious looking 1949 Dodge Power Wagon was acquired by the seller in 2017 and subsequently refurbished and modified by Desert Power Wagons LLC in Scottsdale, Arizona. Work carried out included extending the cab and installing rear-hinged rear doors, building a wood-lined bed, repainting the truck in black, reupholstering the seats in black leather, and installing a rebuilt 5.9-litre Cummins turbodiesel inline-six engine, a four-speed 48RE automatic transmission, and an NP271 dual-range transfer case. Long story short, it’s impressive.

MID CENTURY MODERN

There is obviously an old school vibe to the aesthetic of this 1949 Dodge Power Wagon but it has certainly got plenty of other features which make it well and truly fit for the 21st century. Some of its additional equipment includes a Braden front winch, King coil-over shocks, Fuel Beast wheels with 40″ tires, Vintage Air climate control, a Pioneer sound system with navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, side and rear-view cameras, an alarm system, and an array of power accessories. This first-series Power Wagon is now offered with a clean Texas title assigned to the seller’s trust.

Breathtaking inside and out, this Cummins-Powered 1949 Dodge Power Wagon Four-Door from Bring A Trailer ($250k current bid) has an extended cab to accommodate custom-made rear-hinged rear doors and the truck was repainted in such a bold jet black that it’s hard not to have your head turned by it. Multi-piece 17″ Fuel Beast wheels are wonderfully accented in bronze and mounted with 40″ Toyo M/T Open Country tires. The truck rides on King coil-over shocks with remote reservoirs, and the impressive stopping power is delivered by four-wheel disc brakes with red-painted calipers and a Wilwood master cylinder.

The five-place cabin of this spectacular looking steed has been decked out in black leather with red accent stitching that extends to the door panels. The power-adjustable front seats are said to be sourced from a Cadillac CTS, and some of the vehicles stand out amenities include Vintage Air climate control, an alarm system, rear lap belts, power windows and locks, and a Pioneer sound system with navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. The two-spoke steering wheel has a 1949 Franklin half-dollar coin set into the horn button and the Dakota Digital instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges.
