Extra Butter x adidas Golf x Happy Gilmore 25th Anniversary Collection

It might be a bit of a mouthful but, it’s safe to say, we’re pretty excited about this Extra Butter x adidas Golf x Happy Gilmore 25th Anniversary Collection here at Coolector HQ. This awesome looking capsule release celebrates one of our favourite Adam Sandler movies and a 90’s classic that any golf fan likely has an affinity for.

Extra Butter combine streetwear and golf in its latest collab with adidas to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the cult classic 1996 film Happy Gilmore, from Universal Pictures. This awesome, exclusive and officially licensed collection comes with an array of on- and off-course adidas products, which take their design inspiration from the personalities of the film’s three main characters – Chubbs, Shooter, & Happy.

It’s All In The Hips

The official lookbook and video campaign for this Extra Butter x adidas Golf x Happy Gilmore 25th Anniversary Collection feature actor, Christopher McDonald who reprises his legendary role as the legendary Shooter McGavin, along with a new generation of golf talent from PK Subban, Roger Steele and Tania Tare.

The legendary Shooter McGavin, who is Happy’s nemesis in the movie, is commemorated in a capsule that reflects streetwear’s disruption in golf. For this Extra Butter x adidas Golf x Happy Gilmore 25th Anniversary Collection, Shooter finally gets his coveted Gold Jacket in the form of the adicross Bomber Jacket, which boasts a ‘pro golfers tour championship’ inspired Extra Butter crest, classic adidas striping, custom woven collar and cuffs.

The gold motif is reflected on the Shooter Ultraboost 1.0, upgraded with plush suede, gold-fleck PRIMEKNIT, and an imprint of the famous “Shooter” hand gesture which was one of the most memorable moments of the film. Understated details include a sublimated graphic insole from the film and webbing across the striped cage that can accommodate three golf tees. The capsule rounds off with a visor and cap, both featuring the iconic Shooter logo. Love Happy Gilmore? This is the capsule for you.
