This recently led us squarely to the door of EZA Watches and their latest series, the 1972 Collection, is positively overflowing with vintage vibes and will definitely appeal to those horology fans who love traditional style when it comes to their timepieces.

It is a contemporary interpretation of an EZA diving watch from 1972. It boasts a stylish appearance with its polished finish and thin case which sits effortlessly on the wrist and this can be yours for a mere $759.

Exemplary Swiss Quality

On the inside the 1972 Watch from EZA you will find a Swiss automatic movement, a caliber 2824-2 to be precise, that has been adjusted to six positions. Considering the price tag of just $759, the quality of the movement used is thoroughly impressive and it has Ligne 11-1/2’”, 25 jewels, operates at 28.800bph, and has a lengthy 38-40 hour power reserve.

Overflowing with quality design features the EZA 1972 Watches represent extraordinary value for money and will be a welcome addition to any watch lover’s line up. This superb looking timepiece has a 316L Stainless steel case with mixed brushed and high gloss finish. The case diameter is 39.6mm, with a lug width 20.0mm, case thickness of 11.95 mm, and lug to lug 50 mm.

Moving onto the dial you’ll find hands and bezel which have been filled with SuperLuminova™ for great visibility in low light conditions. It uses custom made for Eza domed sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating on the inside that is both robust and adventure ready which makes this watch a great choice for day to day wear. The 1972 collection is water resistant to 20ATM (200 meters) and each one comes with a vintage leather and rubber strap so you can regularly change up the aesthetic.

Quality Design & Craftsmanship

EZA Watches are assembled in Pforzheim, Germany which is the place where it all began for the watchmaker. Pforzheim has a grand history in watch and jewellery making and it felt right for the brand to go back to their roots. The experienced watchmakers assemble every watch by hand and then do the quality check technically and visually to ensure one meets their exacting standards of quality. 

With the EZA 1972 Collection is strongly inspired by the original EZA watch. With this as a basis, the watch has been enlarged to 39.5mm and all parts have been improved and it will add a wonderful vintage vibe to any man’s wrist in 2020. Each watch comes in a wooden box with black marbled leather on the outside. Inside you will find a black cushion with the watch. under this there is a custom EZA push-pin tool to change any straps or buckles.
