Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spyder

We’re not going to lie, we’re border line obsessed with classic Ferraris here at The Coolector and, to sate this appetite, we spend a lot of time lurking on the pages of Schaltkulisse as it’s never long before they’ve got another breathtaking one on their books waiting to be snapped up by some lucky classic car aficionado. The latest to have caught our eye is this sensational Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spyder which was manufactured in 1972 (a great decade for cool looking Ferraris) and it is one of just 121 factory Spyders so, if you’re the one lucky enough to get your hands on it, you’ll be in mighty exclusive company.

The Ferrai 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spyder from Schaltkulisse is a spectacular steed indeed and we’re pretty sure it won’t be hanging around in their showroom for long so make sure you move quickly if you like what you see with this one. Worryingly for your bank balance, it is a price on application lot which seldom means it’s going to come cheap so prepare yourself for a substantial outlay if you want to make this your next runaround. The Ferrari GTB / 4 “Daytona” was first shown in 1969 and, compared to the coupe, only 10% where produced as Spyders so they’re a very rare breed.

Unparalleled Italian Luxury

Whilst the Ferraris released today are breathtaking machines in their own right, there is something unbeatably alluring about a vintage Ferrari and you’ll seldom see any better than this glorious looking contraption available from Schaltkulisse. A Daytona Spyder with its 4.4 litre engine, 12 cylinder producing around 352BHP is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular road cars from Maranello. It boasts a powerful, masculine performance but is blessed with elegance and the sophisticated style of the glamorous 70s.

This majestic looking machine has chassis number 14857 and it was the 36th vehicle built before being delivered in February 1972. In contrast to some misleading data online, Chassis 14857 was delivered in the classic and striking colour combination of Grigio Ferro 106-E-8 Salchi with Pelle Rossa VM 893. Proven by the Ferrari Classiche certificate and a direct communication with the factory, this is a phenomenal looking vehicle in every respect. Delivered through Modern classic Engines in Nevada in 1972 it was initially produced for the North American market and is presented in remarkable condition with Schaltkulisse.

Today the car is presented in as perfect a condition as it was after its extensive restoration a few years back. The desirable colour combination, a recent full restoration by leading marque specialists and the Ferrari Classiche certificate are hard to find attributes to find when purchasing a classic Ferrari and clearly make this 365 GTS / 4 an opportunity too good to be missed. Fully matching numbers and matching colours Chassis 14857 will be appreciated by its next owner and it is one of our favourite looking lots from Schaltkulisse to date.
