G Gerlach Watches

Now, we’re not going to lie, we’ve not come across many Polish watchmakers previously in our daily scouring of the web in search of timepiece excellence but when we finally do stumble across a watchmaker from the Eastern European country, it turns out to be a rather excellent one in the form of G. Gerlach and their superb series of watches that are dripping in style and affordably priced.

The principle catalyst for the creation of G. Gerlach watches was the realisation that Poland didn’t really have any companies designed and making their own products, most items were designed elsewhere and simply put together in Poland but the team behind G. Gerlach watches wanted to make a product that was both designed and created in Poland in order to showcase the country can still be innovative on the design front and we’re mightily glad they did here at Coolector HQ because the watches they have produced are certainly to our liking.

The brand is named after a Polish industrialist in a nod to the once innovative nation and we’re thoroughly impressed with both the wide variety and great looking watches that they’ve already got under their belt despite having only being around since 2011. Check out a few of our favourite G. Gerlach watches below:

As you can see, there are plenty of different styles of watches to be enjoyed from G. Gerlach and regardless of the type that you’re looking for – be it diver, automotive or aeronautical – you’re sure to find something that fits the bill within their already extensive collection of watches.

Boasting impressive specifications, given their relatively modest price tag, the watches from G. Gerlach utilise an automatic SeaGull ST 2551 with hacking and handwinding movement and most have 100m water resistance, sapphire crystal glass casing and genuine leather straps. All in all, a mightily impressive selection of timepieces from a most unexpected source.
