Goruck GR2® Rucksack

There are some rucksacks that are built for adventure and then some that are built for any adventure and the Goruck GR2® Rucksack definitely falls into the latter category. Put simply, if you want to travel the world with one rucksack, it’s got to be the GR2®. It takes its design inspiration from Special Forces medical packs which open up completely flat and it’s got all the pockets and abundant organisation as well as being carry-on compliant.

With the Goruck GR2® Rucksack, you can travel hands-free and leave all the roll bags in the dust. This excellent looking and top performing accessory is available for pre-ordering now for the entirely reasonable price tag of $395 and though this might sound a lot for a backpack, the fact this one will likely last you a lifetime without needing to be buy a replacement, it start to looks pretty good value for money in our opinion here at Coolector HQ.

No Nonsense Performance

What we love about the wares from Goruck is the fact there is no gimmicks or outlandish promises – they just deliver goods built to last based upon a foundation of high-quality craftsmanship and materials. This is especially true of their GR2® Rucksack which is now built out of 500D Cordura which is more lightweight, has comparable abrasion resistance to 1000D, and feels like it’s broken in on Day 1. What’s not to like?

The Goruck GR2® Rucksack ($395) is basically a suitcase on your back. It allows you to pack everything you need and it still fits in the overhead compartment on the plane or train. The fact it opens flat makes it easier to pack and organise quickly. This means no more digging through your backpack, trying to find something at the bottom and often having to take everything out to get to it. It boasts two large compartments for enhanced organisation and the inner compartment has three pockets and the outer compartment has three pockets as well along with a built-in field pocket.

It’s not every backpack that will have a bombproof laptop compartment but the GR2® does. The separate compartment next to your back is extra reinforced which means you can safely take your laptop into combat. It comes complete with a false bottom so your laptop won’t even notice when you set your ruck down. It has Extra Padded Straps and top handle to carry heavier loads more comfortably and YKK zippers with silent, glove-friendly zipper pulls constructed from parachute 550 cord. This truly is the ultimate in adventure backpacks.
