Omega Seamaster Railmaster Collection

Some watchmakers exude luxury, style and sophistication and these are all traits that can be attributed to Omega, particularly with one of their latest launches, the Seamaster Railmaster Collection. This magnificently majestic series of timepieces is going to appeal to fans of the brand and watch aficionados in general such is the wonderfully cool aesthetic of each of the timepieces in the collection and the effortlessly stylish look and feel they will give your wrist.

The Omega Seamaster Railmaster Collection comes in six different styles so you’ll certainly be able to find one that matches your own personal timepiece preferences. In 1957, OMEGA put their very first Railmaster model onto the market. Today, the sublime series has made a triumphant and long overdue return. The Seamaster Railmaster Collection from Omega arrives with the same understated and sophisticated design characteristics of the original – but, crucially, has plenty of updated touches of style alongside the very best in mechanical movements.

Robust Resilience

Something that really typifies the Seamaster Railmaster Collection from Omega is its exceptional level of durability and robustness. The original Railmaster was crafted for those working on the railway or anyone who worked in close proximity to electrical fields. This was because it was built to resist magnetic fields of up to 1,000 gauss, so it guaranteed reliable precision for the wearer. Courtesy of its Master Chronometer movement, today’s Omega Seamaster Railmaster watch is 15 times more resistant and is able to withstand fields up to 15,000 gauss.

The Omega Seamaster Railmaster Collection of watches has a mighty striking design with a 40 mm brushed stainless steel case and conical crown, which also includes a vertically-brushed grey or black dial, recessed hour-markers filled with “vintage” Super-LumiNova, a railway minute track, OMEGA’s “crosshair” symbol of precision, and, last but not least, a “lollipop” central seconds which harks back to the railways.

As you might expect, there is a lot going on under the hood of the Omega Seamaster Railmaster watches with them being powered by the anti-magnetic Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, which is locked into place behind a wave-edged caseback that boasts a visually impactful, embossed Seahorse medallion. The NAIAD LOCK will also keep the wording on the caseback pleasingly in position and always looking great.

Delicious Denim Design

Perhaps the most unusual one within this new Railmaster collection from Omega is the denim inspired model which has been made as a tribute to the hard-working denim jeans worn on the railroads. This eye-catching, industrial model has been crafted with a vertically-brushed “blue jeans” dial. As well as a stainless steel bracelet, the timepiece is also available with an authentic blue denim NATO strap that really finishes off the aesthetic in style.

With prices around the $5k mark for the Seamaster Railmaster collection, this represents an affordable, infinitely cool option for someone looking for a luxury watch dripping in cool and heritage. Fantastically well crafted and bold, there are six different styles to choose from in the collection and you’ll definitely be able to find the perfect one for you (just hope it’s not the denim one you’ve fallen for because that one is currently sold out).
