Pompeak Gentlemen’s Collection Watches

When it comes to watches, dapperness is one of our chief considerations above all else so when we came across a new timepiece release from Pompeak on Kickstarter by the name of the Gentlemen’s Collection, it was inevitable that we were going to sit up and take notice here at Coolector HQ. The Gentlemen’s Collection of watches from Pompeak is designed with passion and built to last. And, best of all, you can get it on your wrist for under £200.

The Pompeak Gentlemen’s Collection on Kickstarter is a British designed, automatic mechanical watch (which makes the sub-£200 price tag all the more remarkable) and Pompeak have done away with all the unnecessary mark ups to ensure they keep to their founding principle of high quality at a fair price. This ace looking collection of watches are aesthetically striking and wonderfully well made but, pleasingly, won’t break the bank – so, if you’re after an affordable new timepiece in 2020, look no further.

Gentleman’s Agreement

Devilishly dapper, the Gentlemen’s Collection of watches from Pompeak are the result of months of design, iterations and testing and it shows in the finished product. Pompeak’s latest timepieces subtly showcase a spectacular Japanese automatic movement behind each wonderfully detailed dial, with a price point which belie the premium features that you’ll find within – you just shouldn’t be able to get a watch of this quality for under £200.

The Pompeak Gentlemen’s Collection are another fine example of the sort of quality timepieces which can be unearthed on Kickstarter and each of the watches in the collection boasts a 40mm diameter case, self winding, Japanese automatic movement, 10 ATM water resistance, five rowed 316L stainless steel linked bracelet or full grain leather straps and Swiss Super-LumiNova coatings.

One of the most impressive features of the Gentlemen’s Collection (given the price point) is the self-winding automatic movement which was the single most requested comment from the brand’s debut campaign, and they couldn’t be more excited to oblige with this new release. They use the Miyota 82S5 movement which has a 42 hour power reserve, 21 jewels and 21,600 vibrations per hour. Needless to say, it’s rare to see a movement of this calibre in a timepiece this affordable so make sure you head over to their Kickstarter campaign to bag yourself a bargain if you’ve liked what you’ve seen.

Devil in the Detail

Impressive materials have been used throughout with the Pompeak Gentlemen’s Collection which includes the case and metallic bands which are both crafted from 316L stainless steel, which was picked over other material variants for its impressive strength and corrosion resistance, even in salt water environments.

The straps of these watches are made from full grain leather which is as good as it gets so far as leather is concerned. Contrary to the name, full grain leather is not grainy in appearance or feel, but has a smooth richness that is only achievable with a cut of full, unaltered hide in its natural form. Everywhere you look with these watches are eye-catching features that belie the price tag. Don’t miss out, head on over to Kickstarter now.
