Revenge of the Great Showdowns

There have been some great characters in the movies over the years and in celebration of this fact, a decidedly talented artist by the name of Scott Campbell who bills himself as a maker of paintings, illustrations, comics, kid’s books and video games so, as you can see, he’s an all-round talented chap but it’s his awesome series of Revenge of the Great Showdowns collection of artwork that has really caught our eye here at The Coolector because it wonderfully brings to life some of the last half century’s most iconic movie characters in a new and visually appealing way.

If you’re a fan of stylistic artwork and movies then you’re in for a rare treat with Campbell’s Revenge of the Great Showdowns collection because he has turned his talented hand to a vast array of movies from iconic classics like Ghostbusters right through to many of today’s offerings such as Gravity and Captain Phillips. The smiling faces are what characterise Campbell’s collection and we think you’ll be hard pressed to find a single one of the paintings from this collection that doesn’t make you fondly remember the film it recollects.

We’re forever on the lookout for talented artists to placate our eyes here at The Coolector and Scott Campbell has well and truly stepped up to the plate with his unconventional and uber-stylish Revenge of the Great Showdowns collection which has been on display at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles since July 11th and will go on through until the beginning of August so, if you’ve liked what you’ve seen, you should definitely head on down.
