10 of the best British Craft Beer Brands to try in 2024

We’re pretty lucky here in the UK that we’ve got such a vast abundance of awesome craft beer brands operating within our green and pleasant lands and if you’re a fan of independently made amber nectar, you’re definitely going to want to check out our pick of 10 of the best British craft beer brands to wet your whistle with in 2024 below:

Seven Brothers

One of our favourite craft beer brands, Seven Brothers Brewing Co are seven actual brothers from Salford who love beer. It was their Dad who first got them into beer as he used to home-brew when they were kids and so for these seven brothers, there’s a lovely nostalgia in everything about beer. They brew their delicious beer in Salford, where they also have their main Taproom.

Gipsy Hill Brewery

Located at the base of Gipsy Hill in South London, they brew full-flavoured, moreish brews of the highest possible calibre and our recent favourite is their Hepcat Session IPA. Every decision that this brewery make is driven by improving quality, pushing innovation and engaging with their community. After a new craft beer brand? Definitely give Gipsy Hill a shot.

Small Beer

Looking for a little less alcohol in your craft beer? Read on. Small Beer is for the big thinkers. They’re striving to rejuvenate a lost art for the people who do it all. Those who think big for their tomorrow, who search for quality ingredients and conversation, who challenge the existing and embrace innovation. For this brewery, big thinking means pioneering a new process of brewing. That’s why they’ve come up with a bespoke brewing kit to exclusively produce lower alcohol beer up to 2.8% ABV in the world’s first dedicated small beer brewery.

Sureshot Brewing Co

Originally founded in 2020 during the pandemic, and launching their flagship craft beers in 2022, Sureshot has been a long-term project of James Campbell. A serial head brewer at some of Manchester’s most iconic independent breweries, and pioneer of the best in new world styles and hops to the UK. He has been heavily instrumental in the development of a new wave of British brewing and this is a series of beers you need on your radar for 2024.

Pastore Brewery

At Pastore, they have made it their goal to turn the UK a centre of contemporay, innovative sour and mixed fermentation brewing. They aim to show off the full depth and breadth of what this style of brewing can be. All of their bonkers but brilliant craft beer is mixed fermentation but by using different cultures they have been able to achieve a unparalleled range of flavour profiles, from their mouth-watering, fresh fruited Berliner Weisses to the delicious hazy New England sour IPAs. One not to be missed.

Floc Brewery

Floc’s Canterbury-based brewery crafts hop-forward, modern beer. They use nothing but the finest ingredients to create a beer that makes people smile. It is liquid sunshine, ideally suited for enjoying with friends, family, or anyone who makes you feel like you. Floc wanted to create a community-driven brewery that does well and does good. They regularly hold charity events to support the community in which they work and their beer is unfiltered, always vegan, and best enjoyed fresh.

Dozonko Brewing Company

Any brewery that makes beer specifically for train travel is alright in our book here at Coolector HQ and that’s why the guys at Dozonki Brewing Company had to make our list. They’ve got loads of delicious craft beers to try and they are the definition of independent brewing. Flying the flag for the small guy.

Newbarns Brewery

Newbarns Brewery is the first Scottish entrant to our list and they are a top-notch brewery based in Leith, close to Edinburgh, where they are regularly brewing up mouth-wateringly delicious pale ales, lagers and stouts. Their Winter Beer is ideally suited for these chilly months of the year.

Overtone Brewing Co

Directly inspired by the culture of music, Overtone strives to bring people together, incite conversation and make lasting memories through the enjoyment of craft beer. The brewery’s emphasis is all about coming up with big, impactful flavours, using the highest quality ingredients and generous hop quantities to create the hazy, juicy, drinkable IPAs that would become their cornerstone. They also release new beers with great regularity. Which is nice.

Neon Raptor Brewing Co

Neon Raptor Brewing Co crafts everything from one-off experimental beers to a solid range of their best-loved styles. There’s also a fair amount of dinosaurs (naturally) and retro video game references involved. The main reason they made the list, truth be told.
