Whilst we don’t currently have a home to call our own here at Coolector HQ, we very much like the idea of said residence being a “retreat” when we do get around to home ownership and that, sir, is why we’ve very fallen for this spectacular piece of architectural design from Uruguayan designers, MAPA.
The Finca Aguy Retreat is situated within the glorious surroundings of a Uruguayan olive grove but it is the construction, materials and impeccably clever design features that really set it apart from the crowd. This feat of architectural excellence is part of a growing trend for pre-fabricated homes, that are put together off-site and delivered to the desired destination for erection.
They don’t come much more aesthetically superior than the Finca Aguy Retreat and we’re massive fans of the minimalist look and feel of the design here at Coolector HQ. Take a look through a few more shots below:

It boasts timber clad and corrugated metal exterior and some supremely striking, minimalist interiors that are sure to appeal to those who love modern living. A first rate piece of architecture and one we couldn’t be more in awe of here at The Coolector.
