We used to feature playing cards rather regularly on the pages of The Coolector but, for what ever reason, we’ve not done so for some time now and it stands to reason that now we’ve decided to do so again, the chosen candidate is positively dripping in design awesomeness. The cards in question are the, quite frankly, stunningly designed Highland Fauna Playing Cards from Prague based design duo, Tomski & Polanski.
These spectacular playing cards take their design inspiration from highland forests and you’ll be hard pressed to find a more visually impressive set to enjoy your card games with in 2015 than this exceptionally crafted and branded deck. Wonderfully hand-drawn and depicting all manner of mysterious woodland creatures, you’ll likely find it hard to focus on your poker or blackjack when playing with this set because you’ll be some mesmerised by the breath taking design. There is an undeniable retro / vintage appeal to these playing cards from Tomski & Polanski and we can’t help but think of the likes of Guillermo del Toro when it comes to the characters depicted on the playing cards.
