Huawei Smartwatch

Needless to say, many people will have already made their mind up regarding smartwatches given that Apple have made their presence known within the market but this might be a little short-sighted because there is a whole heap of equally as impressive devices bubbling away beneath the surface and vying for any tech-lover’s attention. One of the most impressive we’ve encountered here at Coolector HQ is that of the Huawei Smartwatch which took the recent Mobile World Congress event by storm and we can certainly see why.

The Huawei Smartwatch is an Android Wear watch with a 286 ppi 1.4-inch AMOLED touchscreen that will be sold in gold, silver, and black so, right from the get go, you can see that it isn’t a shrinking violet and is prepared to take on the colossus that is Apple. We’ve a distinct interest in smartwatches that stems from our love of wristwatches in general and there is a distinct visual style to the Huawei Smartwatch that definitely appeals and if it retains the features from the video above when it hits the shelves, there’s going to be a lot of happy consumers out there.

It’s not just visually that the Huawei Smartwatch excels, it has also got plenty of eye-catching features going on beneath the hood such as heart rate monitor, an impressive 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM, a 6-axis motion sensor with a Qualcomm 1.2GHz processor that acts as its beating heart and keeps all its technology ticking over. Check out some more shots of this stunning smartwatch below:

The fact that the Huawei Smartwatch first and foremost looks like a stylish wristwatch in its own right before you realise all the technology that it boasts is something that is extremely important as far as we’re concerned because there is real danger of smartwatches becoming too gimmicky but this looks to be something that the Chinese technology purveyors have expertly circumnavigated this hurdle with this stylish offering. No release date or price has been proffered yet but this is definitely one device that we’ll be keeping our beady eye on here at Coolector HQ.
