Legacy Overland 1990 Land Rover Defender 90 Soft Top

There are a few Land Rover workshops that we’ve got a lot of time for here at The Coolector but few more so than Legacy Overland and this is because of their capacity to complete awesome builds like this 1990 Land Rover Defender 90 Soft Top. This extraordinary looking steed has been completely rebuilt to a ‘better-than-new’ standard and it’s hard not to be impressed by the impactful visuals and mighty impressive performance out on the open road.

This comprehensively restored Land Rover Defender 90 from the guys at Legacy Overland was reimagined for a new lease on an already great life. Meticulous work spanning thousands of hours, broke the car into its smallest parts before painstakingly building it back up again, piece by piece. The turbo diesel engine and gearboxes are fully rebuilt to provide a breathtaking performance. The car embodies the traditional rugged Land Rover qualities and transforms in an upgraded package for the modern driver.

90’S CLASSIC

The Defender 90 soft top is right up our stylistic street here at Coolector HQ and it is impeccably finished in a satin Pangea green with black details and, as the name suggests, a soft top. The front of this Defender was upgraded with a KBX grille and LED high-power headlights. The hood got a spruce-up with a satin black reflection abating cover with a “90” stencil as a nod to its heritage. The truck rides on capable alloy wheels with no-nonsense Cooper tires.

There is a real sense of luxury to this Legacy Overland 1990 Land Rover Defender 90 Soft Top and the front seats have been upgraded to Porsche 911-type bucket seats with high head rests and plenty of additional support for energetic off-roading. The interior is dressed in hand crafted tawny vegan leather with black chevron stitched patterning on seats, doors and cubby box. Shifters are made out of billet aluminium, which delivers a sharp finishing touch as well as uncompromising toughness.

This Defender 90 from Legacy Overland sports an upgraded sound system with 800-watt subwoofer and four speakers, all of which are powered by an amplifier to keep the party going long after the sun has set. But do not despair of the dark as besides an all-LED exterior lamp configuration, a classic map-light mounted on aa telescopic arm is attached to the dashboard of this sterling steed. The black canvas top can be rolled up to provide an open-air feeling, but a custom-built air-conditioning unit will keep things cool when needed.
