Saddle Peak House

Santa Monica is one of our favourite places at Coolector HQ though, we’re not going to lie, we didn’t know it had mountains. Well, that’s where you’ll find Saddle Peak House and it is quite honestly one of the coolest looking pieces of contemporary architecture you’re likely to encounter and, better still, it is available to rent so you can experience living in this mesmerising holiday home.

Stunningly situated in the Santa Monica Mountains (who knew?), Saddle Peak House is a thoroughly modern retreat and has amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. It was designed by Michael Sant of Sant Architects and the secluded home delivers the feeling of being thoroughly immersed in the surrounding landscape with great views of surrounding rock formations, native plants, and of course, the Pacific, making for an entirely rejuvenating experience.

Exceptional Modern Luxury

This amazing holiday retreat, made from concrete, wood, steel and glass, rises from the ground without ever overwhelming it or detracting from its beauty. The juxtaposition between the boldness and uncompromising nature of the concrete walls and large expanses of glass, come together to create the perfect balance.

Saddle Peak House from Sant Architects boasts a dark blue infinity-edge pool which does a superb job of mimicking the colour of the Pacific Ocean that stretches out beyond it. The rectangular horizontal structure gives the impression of floating above the ground as its steel frame juts out to form covered decks that expand the square footage of the property.

On the inside, Saddle Peak House is equally as impressive and has a minimalist aesthetic with welcoming wood tones throughout and massive windows which ensure that you are treated to amazing views at every turn. With space to accommodate a number of people with its four bedrooms, one of which is located in a private studio, you’ll be able to share the cost of a stay with friends. The main building houses the primary bedroom with sweeping views of the Pacific, and two additional bedrooms. Got deep pockets and looking for the perfect retreat? You’ve just found it with Saddle Peak House.
