The Well Hotel Bangkok

Exceptional location a stone's throw from Sukhumvit Road and walking distance to the SkyTrain to explore the city, the Well Hotel is the perfect choice for any fitness lover travelling to Bangkok.

Bangkok is one of the most vibrant and exhilarating cities in the world and given the unrelenting pace of the city, it can be a real blessing to find a hotel which is like an oasis of tranquility in amongst the hustle and bustle with which Bangkok is synonymous.

Well, we were lucky enough to find exactly that here at Coolector HQ during a recent stay at the Well Hotel based on Sukhumvit Road and with a reputation for being one of Bangkok’s leading hotels for health, fitness and relaxation – not to mention the fact it boasts an unparalleled location, right in the heart of the action.

Exploring the city is something that any visitor to Bangkok simply has to do and from the Well Hotel, you’ll have no excuse not to see it all because of just how close it is to the highly versatile SkyTrain that will whiz you across the city quickly and inexpensively.

The Well Hotel has health and fitness at it’s core and this is something that you’ll witness throughout the property and it serves as an ideal means of keeping yourself fresh and invigorated during any stay in Bangkok long or short. Given the fact that there really is so much to see and do in the city, having a hotel room which acts as a tranquil, restful base after a day of sightseeing or a pilgrimage to the epic Chatuchack Market is a real godsend and that’s exactly what we experienced with the wonderfully welcoming and superbly designed Well Hotel.

Fitness First

With so many people now putting their healthy lifestyle at the forefront of their thinking, it makes sense for there to be fitness centric hotels out there for travellers who want to make sure their lifestyle doesn’t dip when on overseas adventures and, truth be told, we doubt there can be many doing it better than Well Hotel in Bangkok. From the minute you arrive in the grandiose lobby, to be welcomed by the extremely friendly and knowledgeable Por at the concierge desk, you know that you’re in for a treat and even if fitness isn’t your priority, there is still so much to love about the impeccable Well Hotel.

We stayed in one of the hotel’s four Executive Suites, which is the golden ticket for any health aficionado as you don’t even need to leave your room (to the rooftop gym) to get your workout done because the suite comes equipped with a top of the range exercise bike and yoga mat in order to put yourself through the paces if you’ve overindulged on Bangkok’s notoriously superb nightlife. The size of the suite was nothing short of miraculous and though we were at the Well Hotel for a lamentably short two nights, it not only provided a wonderfully located base to explore Bangkok but the calibre of room that belied the affordability that they offer.

The Well Hotel has all the latest technology and mod-cons throughout their rooms and suites including mini-bars, personal electronic safety box, 46-inch smart TV, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi throughout and LAN cable in room to make sure it serves as a real home away from home during your stay in Bangkok – and that’s exactly how it felt for us here at The Coolector. Whilst fitness is something that permeates the Well Hotel, it isn’t forced upon you in any way and if you’re just looking for a luxury hotel in a first class location, it ticks all of those boxes too.

Well, Well, Well

We’ve stayed in a number of hotels across Bangkok now and the Well Hotel is unquestionably right up there with our favourites here at The Coolector. From the warmness of the welcome right through to the calibre of the food and the wonderfully appointed rooms, there really is nothing not to like about this exceptional hotel, which is one of the city’s newest, having only been opened just over a year ago.

If you’re a bit of a foodie, the Well Hotel excels in this department too with a menu filled to the brim with healthy dishes that will hit the spot day or night and with courses tailored to your mindset – be it hungover or looking for an energy boost – it is clear to see that a lot of thought has gone into the food choices here with the intention of tying in with the hotel’s overall fitness vibe.

We loved our short but sweet stay at The Well Hotel in Bangkok here at Coolector HQ and can’t recommend it highly enough. Whilst we weren’t there long enough (and were perhaps a little too tired given the length of flight that preceded it) to make full use of their fitness apparatus, it is certainly one of the hotel’s biggest draws and its easy to see why the fitness inclined gravitate towards this cracking hotel in their droves when they find themselves in Bangkok.
