JimBob Ceramics

If, like us here at Coolector HQ, you drink a lot of tea and coffee, you’ll be only too aware that a hot beverage invariably tastes better when it’s imbibed from a vessel that you love and have an attachment to and that’s why we’re fully intended on grabbing ourselves some of these awesome looking JimBob Ceramics that are hand-painted by a supremely talented fellow by the name of James Ward AKA JimBob.

Ward is a London based artist and designer who operates out of a small store in the East of London just off the famous Brick Lane and his collection of ceramics and other assorted artworks have well and truly caught our eye at The Coolector. Each of these pieces of art (which double as coffee receptacles and sandwich plates) are based on Ward’s expressive animal paintings and inimitable sense of wit and we’re willing to wager you’ll struggle to find a more zany collection of ceramics for your cupboards than these wonderfully stylised offerings.

Working as a commercial illustrator, Ward has definitely developed his own style when it comes to his ceramics but he has also done commissioned work for the likes of Lacoste and Moleskin but it is his crackingly crafted ceramics which we’ve fallen for at The Coolector. Check out a few more of our favourite pieces from JimBob below:

If your current roster of drinking vessels and dinnerware is lacking in the character department somewhat, these brilliantly crafted JimBob Ceramics will definitely be a step in the right direction and we love the playful nature of the designs and the comedy value of Ward’s creations. If you’re a lover of out of the ordinary artwork and on the lookout for something that will engage each time you drink a coffee or make a sandwich, then these are surely that and we salute them here at Coolector HQ.
