Coen Brothers Illustrations by Richard Perez

In our humble opinion here at Coolector HQ, the Coen Brothers are amongst the finest directors of their generation and have been responsible for some of our most favoured films of the last decade or so – most notably, the likes of Fargo, The Big Lebowski and No Country For Old Men. In this respect, then, you can imaginable our not insignificant delight when we stumbled across these decidedly excellent Coen Brothers Illustrations by the supremely talented, Richard Perez, who has captured the essence of some of the key characters to have made up the Coen Brothers’ excellent catalogue of movie magnificence.

Richard Perez is a Portland based artist and illustrator who has a rather exceptional array of artwork under his belt but it is undoubtedly his top notch chronicling of the Coen Brothers’ movies that has most caught our eye at The Coolector and, as you can see from the excellent selection of illustrations above, it isn’t difficult to see why. Some of the most famous characters which the Coens committed to film, such as Anton Chigurh, Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski and Rooster Cogburn have all been captured wonderfully well by Perez’s artistic hand and if you’re a fan of both the Coen Brothers and illustration, there is quite literally nothing not to like about this series.

As may be all too apparent, we love skilled artists and illustrators here at Coolector HQ and Perez has certainly bulldozed his way into our top ten with his cracking collection of Coen Brother illustrations. We’re hoping for more to be added to his roster but only time will tell whether we are to be treated to a Jesus Quintana.
