There have been some great films in the last fifty years and with these brilliant films there have been some great posters to accompany them and get them out into the public eye. As fantastic as these posters were, there is always room for a revamp and, to celebrate their 50th issue, UK based film magazine, Little White Lies, commissioned 50 illustrators to create their own versions of movie posters for some of the most iconic and talked about films of the last half century and, with that, Project 50 was born.
You can see some of the excellent work carried out by the illustrators above, with some of Coolector HQ’s favourite films like Moonrise Kingdom and Die Hard making an appearance, so we were always going to be bowled over by this top notch project. With superb illustrators like Samuel Rogers, Timba Smits and Kyle Platts adding their creative talent to the project, it was always going to be a visually impressive affair and that is exactly how it has turned out.
We can’t wait to see what Little White Lies has in store for their 100th edition. 100 illustrations, probably.
