Simon Stålenhag’s Tales from the Loop

We’re quite unashamed in our love of the art of Simon Stålenhag here at Coolector HQ and we’ve featured his immeasurable talents on our pages a good number of times now and we were delighted to stumbled across a Kickstarter project aiming to generate funds for an English language version of his Tales from the Loop Book that showcases his finest artwork with snippets of details about the universe he has created.

We’re certainly not the only ones with a love of this particular Swede’s artwork and Simon Stålenhag’s Tales from the Loop has already far surpassed its funding target you’ll be pleased to hear – particularly if you love his creations as much as us at The Coolector. The Kickstarter project has been set up not only to produce Stålenhag’s book into English but also to fund the creation of a new second book of his stellar artwork and for fans of the Swede’s superb dystopic paintings, this will likely be joyous news. Check out a few shots of the book and artwork below:

The haunting beauty of Stålenhag’s artwork has always left us thoroughly impressed here at Coolector HQ and we were thrilled when we saw that a book was inbound that goes into details about the universe he has created. The theme of the artworks are an alternative version of Sweden in the 80s and 90s and the technological edge to the artwork is something that is simultaneously jarring and supremely eye-catching and we love all the pieces that he creates. There is still plenty of time to throw your support behind this project on Kickstarter if you’re looking for the perfect coffee table book this summer.
