Drop Structures Mono Cabin

A wilderness retreat is something that constantly occupies our thoughts here at Coolector HQ and having your own fortress of solitude is going to appeal to an awful lot of people out there. With this in mind, you won’t be surprised to hear that we’ve had our heads turned by this cracking piece of design from Drop Structures that goes by the name of the Mono Cabin and it looks all sorts of awesome.

Drop Structures operate out of Lethridge in Alberta and came to fruition out of a need for space. Space to live. Space to work. Space to pursue hopes, dreams and passions. They wanted a space that was clean, well crafted, one that we could enjoy living and working in and, with that, they began creating magnificent structures and it is their latest offering, the Mono Cabin, which has well and truly captured our imagination here at Coolector HQ.

Years in the Making

It is clear that a lot of thought has gone into the design and crafted of the Mono Cabin from Drop Structures and if you’re after a creative space or somewhere to go and relax and unwind, this is just the thing for you. It the culmination of years of engineering and design which has resulted in a building which has been rigorously refined but also deceptively simple to offer a minimalistic space which we’re big fans of at The Coolector.

The Mono Cabin from Drop Structures has been carefully designed to really optimise livable space and it achieves this with a long, linear floor plan, alongside a vaulted ceiling and vast glazed openings. Each and every detail of the Mono Cabin has been meticulously planned, with each material tirelessly sourced to ensure the end result is always perfect. Drop Structures have the goal of finding the pinnacle of design where aesthetics and function meet head on and, from what we can see, the Mono Cabin has achieved exactly that.

One of the stand out features of the Mono Cabin from Drop Structures is its ability to seamlessly incorporate lofts, desks, beds, various wall and floor textures, and a plethora of other features with considerable ease. Its capacity to transcend a single use function is only limited by your own creativity and you really can use the Mono Cabin for anything that you can conceive of it. A real ease of use asset, it is a quick ‘Plug and Play’ addition to your lifestyle that will be a welcome addition for sure. To make sure of the quality, every Mono is constructed in Drop Structure’s controlled shop environment with an impeccable attention to detail.

Impressive Specifications

Each Mono Cabin from Drop Structures measures 106 square feet, 8′ 10″ wide x 12′ long with a 4′ attached desk that will make you as creative as possible. The design can be customised to your requirements with many different window configurations available such as skylights, back windows and side windows so you can have as little or as much natural light as you want.
